The health and safety of our employees are among our top concerns at A&R Energy. We follow the rules established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for duct work technicians to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations. Each team member is required to complete 40 hours of OSHA training.

Workers in skilled trades are sometimes exposed to hazardous conditions. Here are some of the potential risks that duct work technicians face and how we address them:

Rooftop Operations

Precautions.

Fall protection—including guardrail systems, platform ladders, safety nets, or harnesses— is required for duct work technicians working at heights of six feet or more above the ground. Our team follows all the necessary precautions to stay safe on the job.

Protection.

We provide the proper respiratory protection for our technicians who may be exposed to excessive or toxic particles in the air while conducting maintenance or repair work on duct work and associated equipment.

Ventilation.

It is possible to become trapped or asphyxiated when working in tight areas. Before a technician enters a confined space, first we remove any hazards, such as flammable substances. Then, we ensure proper ventilation for the duration of the project.

Safety.

Working around heavy equipment introduces another safety hazard to the environment. We follow proper machine usage guidelines and machine guarding requirements to keep our employees safe.

Our ultimate intention is to avoid all workplace accidents. To help us achieve this goal, we hold regularly scheduled meetings that focus on specific safety topics related to job-specific hazards and how to maintain a safe work environment. We also continually update our safety compliance efforts in accordance with local and national regulatory practices to make our workers as safe as possible.

Policies.

Our personnel are carefully managed and trained to practice safe policies while operating and servicing company vehicles. This training helps to minimize hazards and keeps workers safe.

Engage.

Our company owners, executive team, and field supervisors communicate effectively with our technicians, addressing questions or concerns they have immediately. We also remain highly engaged with our clients to ensure peace of mind and a positive experience for everyone.
